We
encourage parent participation in our program and welcome you to visit the
classroom at any time. Your
insights into how your child’s needs can best be met are always welcome.
You, the parents, are the primary teachers of your child and we
want to work with you.
There
will be a designated Room Parent for each class.
Room parents will assist in special projects and our fundraising
efforts. Teachers will have a
Room Parent sign up sheet at orientation.
Parent/Teacher
Conferences:
You can arrange a
parent/teacher conference at any time.
Please do not use drop off and pick up times for conferences.
The teacher needs to be able to concentrate on the children at this
time. Three, Four and
Five-year-old teachers will have parent teacher conferences in January.

Monthly Calendars and Daily
Communications:
Your
child’s teacher will send home a monthly calendar and letter giving you
information regarding your child’s activities and curriculum for the
month. Daily reports and
communication folders are sent home to let you know about their day.
Extra forms are sent home for you to complete for the next day to
let the teacher know about the child’s morning.
Each day teachers will write a summary of the classroom activities
on the “wipe-out” board posted outside the classroom.
Please refer to this board as an additional means of communication
between the parents and teachers. Important
notices and deadlines will also be posted on the “wipe-off” boards.
